The waitlist

If you sign up on this site, we keep your email address, your language and the signup date, to tell you when the app launches. Nothing else.

To be removed from the list, write to contact@shortmake.com: your address is then deleted.

What you provide in the app

Your name, avatar, gender, age range and favorite genres. Only your favorite genres are used to suggest series. All of it is optional and can be changed in your profile. If you create an account: your email address, used to sign in.

What the app stores

An account ID, the series you follow, your history and progress, your likes, reminders, tickets, comments, your balance and your coin history.

For a purchase: the offer, the amount, the payment method, the country and the last four digits of the number for Mobile Money. We never see your card number.

What the app doesn't do

No targeted ads, no ad tracking, no access to your contacts, photos or location.

What others can see

Your comments are public in the app, with your name and avatar.

Who we work with

Hosting: Railway and Neon for the server and database, Cloudflare for videos and images, Vercel for this site. Email: Resend. Payments: Apple, Google, pawaPay, Chariow, Stripe and Whop, each for the payments that go through it. These services may process data outside your country.

On your phone

The app keeps your account token, your language, your downloads and a cache of images and videos. You can clear the cache in Settings.

How long

Your account data is kept as long as the account exists. Waitlist signups are kept until the app launches, or until you ask. Payment records are kept for as long as accounting requires, with no link to a deleted account.

Your rights

In the app, Settings lets you delete your account: your profile, list, balance and comments are erased from the server. To view, correct or delete your data any other way, write to contact@shortmake.com.
